2. Shwopping is the new shopping, darling: Joanna Lumley launches clothes recycling initiative for M&S

 Schwopping at M&S

(I really couldn’t figure out the picture at the start. I thought it was advertising wearing used clothes. But according to the article “M&S filled an entire street in East London’s Brick Lane fashion district with the equivalent amount of clothing that we throw into landfill every five minutes – almost 10,000 items” –  makes you think)

3. Livia Firth, wife of Colin Firth has been in the headlines in the past months for her Green Carpet challange. I like her for making a stand and as she said being more than just the wife at the Oscars.

 3. Fashion food for thought. Maybe she’s reading too much into her fashion choices of particular moments but interesting idea and brave to put yourself to the test! The comments are OUCH

Shape Shopping for Trousers

Finding the right trousers is a challenge at any stage - whether you are online or staring a rack full of pants. We have a number of trouser styles – true mostly in black – but then again you can’t go wrong with the right pair of black pants. They tend to be flattering on all body types and go with everything. Use your top half to add colour.

From experience & extra research I have added some styling, shape & colour information to the descriptions. This is obviously not gospel but I hope it helps.  Because I have had some of the pieces for a while you will find some excellent value. The styles are timeless, the quality is lovely and they will last. Of coruse if you buy a pair of trousers that are not quite perfect, they can easily be returned.

Some of the measurements and photos are being updated. If you would like more information please email me at

What Shape Are You

First of all, what suits us boils down to God given assets, our body shape and colouring. While exercise, dieting, hair colour and tanning make us (generally) look like better versions of ourselves, you can’t change nature but instead celebrate what you’ve got.

Below is an overview of the key shapes and their traits, taken from -

The main traits of your apple shaped body are:

  • Larger Bust
  • Broader Shoulders.
  • Narrower Hips
  • Less Defined Waist

Your assets to highlight are your arms, legs and decolltage
