Cycle Chic Cork Style – July 2011

Saturday, July 23rd, 2011

The Cork Cycling Festival is a real gem – a community led fun festival.Cycle Chic was the Finale event of this year’s cycling festival– a bicycle fashion Show, directed and produced by Joanna Karolini (www.theumbrellaskirt.com)  & Carol Doyle (www.belleetik.com) along with a super team. The show was staged outdoors, as night fell on the Grand Parade in Cork City and was all about celebrating bicycle culture and stylish cyclists. This year included an appearance on TV3′s Ireland AM which you can watch here.  This year’s Cycle Chic maximised the impact of high-visibility accessories & showcased the great diversity and range of bike wear and accessories available on the market for cycling aficionados. Alongside the clothes and the bikes, was the human powered Re-Cycle Cinema.

Here are a selection of photographs from Oliver Kehoe Smith & Cian Daly. Read on to see who was part of making this show happen. Watch this space for the video (Coming soon) to really get a sense of the show.
